Help anyone?

the Xenons on my MkII V6 Gal do not level or wash anymore (since about 3 months). Hoever even before that I was never able to get into the Xenon range module in VAG-COM or now the regisiterd VCDS (I upgraded to Win 7).

looking at the few post on xenons, other peopel seem to be able to get OK (on diesils galaxy's) but I cant get into xenon adjustment (module 55) via VCDS at all (NB. I have a registered Ross-tech cable/software... at 400 USD!!!). Anyone got any suggestions?

VCDS just says module unavailable. As mentiones, I have tried this before when the Xenon system was working and never was able to acccess this module - anyone got a solution else its off to Fords to hand over alot of cash most likely!

Thats because you are scanning the wrong controller

Xenon range was only really used for about 3 years when there was a seperate module specifically for the levelling operation - on modern (all galaxys) its accessed by module 29 - Left Light.

I would say at some point you have had the battery replaced/disconnected and the system has lost the home position - a simple reset is required and If you serach my posts you'll find a reference on exactly how to do that. I'd also suggest that someones tried to wash the lights when the tanks been empty/frozen and as such F11 (20amp) will be blown, hence to wash function.

Gents, amny thanks - just been out and tried it - spot on, got the leveling motros to go up and down in test mode and then stat is still on level ground with handbrake off and ignition on and it seems to have leveled as you mentioned - many thanks. However I still do not get any sign of life out of the washers - is that on the same module or under something else cryptic - cheers again for your rapid replies and help.

...happy to report a successful conclusion -> F11 20A blown (replaced) and headlamp washers are working again!

HID Xenons are levelled (VCDS module 29) and all is well again, ready for my MoT test (=CT test) in France next week - many thanks so much George106 and Mirez! I'll make a donation to the site FGOC site for the euros you have saved me!

Good result guys but what impressed me as well was the the positive feedback from the original poster.

Very often on this forum information is taken and no feedback is given, good or bad. This can leave some members, including me, thinking why did I bother.

Please keep up the feedback, it makes everyone feel better.

I'll always do my best to come back with solution if found as everyone may benefit from it. Sometimes I feel I do ask but have to answer myself as well as nobody is really interested at the particular problem.

Mirez and others thanks for your support as I could hardly solve any problem on my gal without it.
